PTC, Guwahati was opened on 27/10/2003 by Smt Padma Balasubhramanim, Secretary , Department of Posts, India. The centre is imparting various training to the postal employees of Assam and NE circle. At present it is housed in a three storied rented building owned by Indian Red cross Society, Guwahati. PTC is situated near river bank of Brahmaputra .
