PTC, Guwahati was opened on 27/10/2003 by Smt Padma Balasubhramanim, Secretary , Department of Posts, India. The centre is imparting various training to the postal employees of Assam and NE circle. At present it is housed in a three storied rented building owned by Indian Red cross Society, Guwahati. PTC is situated near river bank of Brahmaputra .The Location of the administrative block and hostels are as follows:-

The new building for PTC at Beltola , Guwahati is under construction and it is expected that the same will be completed in coming years and for this purpose fund has been allotted in 12th year five plan of DOP.
