Course: Executive Development Programme
Context: As the managers move up the hierarchy in the organization their roles and responsibilities change and span of control increases. To effectively discharge higher responsibilities, the managers need to broaden their horizon and should be able to plan outside-in apart from being able to see inside-out. This programme is designed to make the participants aware of the latest management and measurement tools and techniques to help them see their application in the departmental context.
Objectives:
(i) Explain the role and challenges for the senior level postal managers in the current context.
(ii) Prioritize his/ her activities to ensure effective use of resources for optimum results.
(iii) Devise a system of measuring performance against set goals and use various techniques of measurement and management at his/her level in the practical situation.
(iv) Enumerate lessons from best practices of other organizations.
