Course: Workshop on Postal Life Insurance
Target level of participants: Gr. B/JTS/STS Officers
Context: Postal Life Insurance is potentially one
of the biggest revenue earners for the Department of Posts. The business environment
for Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance is changing rapidly and
is posing great challenges and opportunities for the Department. The course is designed
to sensitize the participants to the potential of the PLI Business and the steps
taken by the Department to realize this implemented by the participants at their
level for more business in PLI/RPLI.
Objectives:
(i) Explain the business environment for insurance services
in the country, especially relevant to Postal Life Insurance.
(ii) Formulate a strategy for better marketing of Postal
Life Insurance Products taking into account their relative standing in the market
vis-à-vis the competition.
